Andrew is a founding partner and has over 20 years corporate finance experience.

Andrew qualified with Ernst & Young in 1987 and spent two years in Corporate Recovery before specialising in corporate finance from 1989. Andrew left Ernst & Young in 1992 to set up HMT.

Andrew’s expertise is both in respect of transaction support and corporate finance with a particular emphasis on buy side work. Whilst Andrew’s transaction support experience includes a significant amount of private equity work, he has also undertaken a significant amount of reconstruction and viability work which included an 18 month assignment reviewing some 30 portfolio businesses for a major UK high street bank during the last recession.

Andrew has advised on a wide range of transactions including the MBO and subsequent sale of Keith Prowse Limited, the PTP and subsequent sale of Donatantonio plc, the MBOs of Tristar Limited, ICA Limited and Tessella Limited, the acquisition of Manroy Limited and the sales of Caterham Cars Limited, Basildon Chemical Company Limited and Netmums Limited.

In 2008, 2012 and 2013, Andrew was voted 'Corporate Finance Adviser of the Year' at the Thames Valley Deals Awards.

Downtime

Andrew lives in Chalfont St Giles.

Being both prolific at deal making and fathering 7 children, downtime is somewhat of a luxury.

However, when not at work or enjoying his family, Andrew enjoys both shooting and rugby, albeit his rugby playing days are long over and he enthusiastically spectates from a safe distance.
