Andrew joined HMT in 2008 and has 20 years M&A experience.

Andrew began his career with KPMG, qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1986. Following a period of secondment in industry he then joined KPMG Corporate Finance in 1989, progressing to partner in 1999. Andrew subsequently led KPMG’s Corporate Finance team in the East Midlands and also developed expertise in advising on deals in the education sector. His deals included the sale of Coxlease and Chelfham Mill Schools to Priory Education, advising Three Delta on its acquisition of Senad from Sovereign Capital, advising RBPE on the sale of SMP Playgrounds to Investcorp, advising LDC on the acquisition of Ramesys e-Learning and the sale of the TTS group to RM plc.

Andrew’s focus within HMT is on private company transactions, on both sides of the corporate finance fence. He advises on MBOs and MBIs, as well as leading disposal mandates for both owner managers and private equity houses.

Downtime

Married to Tess, Andrew lives in Solihull and has 3 children. He is currently trying to introduce recent arrival Dylan to the family tradition of supporting Chelsea.

At home Andrew enjoys showing off his culinary skills and is a survivor of Rosemary Schrager’s cookery school.

Andrew’s alternative career (and the main drain on his bank balance) is breeding and owning race horses.
