HMT Corporate Finance provided fully integrated corporate finance, transaction support and tax advisory services to brightsolid limited on its £25m acquisition of Friends Reunited Group from ITV plc.
HMT Corporate Finance, led by partner Andrew Thomson and executive John Price, advised Access Intelligence plc on the acquisition of Ether-ray Limited, a software business that specialises in the public sector market, for £2.4 million in cash. Convertible loan notes were issued to Unicorn VCT Plc and Elderstreet VCT Plc, a significant shareholder, raising £1.75 million to part fund the transaction.

Matrix Private Equity Partners provided additional equity funding, whilst the Cooperative Bank provided term debt and banking facilities.

The refinancing was secured from the Royal Bank of Scotland and involved replacing existing facilities as well as providing additional working capital headroom in order to support the company’s continuing strong growth.

The Swindon facility’s management team worked with JSFM Consulting Limited, a business consultancy practice of whom MHS UK was a client, to put together a competitive bid. The business will trade as Plus Semi, a trading division of JSFM Consulting.
