Acquisition by Six Degrees Group of Datahop Limited

HMT were delighted to advise Six Degrees, the managed data services provider, on its acquisition of Datahop Limited (“Datahop”). The deal was funded by Penta Capital and Clydesdale Bank.

Datahop is Six Degrees’ eight acquisition since it was formed in 2011 as it continues with its buy and build strategy.  The group, led by Alastair Mills, is a data centric reseller of converged business communications.

Datahop is a provider of a range of port connections across a high speed, highly resilient network connecting 21 datacentres in the UK and Europe, enabling it to deliver a wide range of internet transit solutions.
