HMT Corporate Finance make 'Top 15' in Thomson Reuters league table rankings
HMT Corporate Finance has been included in the Thomson Reuters M&A League Tables, ranked in 13th place for number of UK-based transactions up to $50m. With mid-market deal activity matching the levels achieved by national firms, the tables reflect HMT's dominant position in the Thames Valley.
However, the wider league table review highlights the impact of the credit crunch on M&A volumes, with Thomson Reuters reporting the value of UK mid-market transactions to be down 35.7% on last year. The last 6 months of the year have proved to be especially tough, deal activity reportedly 17% lower than during the first half of 2008.
