Work Life
Simon is a full-time due diligence specialist with over 10 years experience.
Simon qualified in 1996 and joined HMT in 1997. He has been part of the Corporate Finance team for over 10 years and specialises in due diligence and transaction support mainly on the buy side. Typically, this involves acting for venture capitalists and mid-market private equity houses including Octopus, Barclays Ventures and ECI, on MBOs, MBIs, as well as corporate acquisitions both in the UK and overseas.
His experience covers a multitude of sectors including medical research, telecoms, travel & leisure, manufacturing and technology. He has worked on over 100 transactions over the years, including nine acquisitions across Europe and the USA for Premier Research Group, a leading global contract research organisation.
Downtime
Simon is married to Nicola and has 2 children.
When not on assignment, he takes a keen interest in his son’s football as well as following Reading FC with the family.
